Hello, I'm Luke. I'm a writer and creative with an interest in movies, books and tv shows. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, England with my family.
This website is my home on the internet, where I keep a diary of what I'm working on and publish my work.

Do you NFT?
I'm always interested in technology and its relationship with creativity.
While NFTs have boomed and bust in recent years, I'm optimistic that they have a real use for creators beyond rubbish pictures of various animals.
As an experiment, I've set up a publication on mirror.xyz where you can enjoy my content and - if you want to play around with it - mint them as NFTs.
I don't know what the use of it will be long term and I certainly advise against making any financial commitment or plan to make money from NFTs. But, if you are curious about NFTs I hope it is a relatively simple introduction.
What else?
What follows is a rambling overview of my interests and recommendations.
Health
I like hiking, mostly in Northumberland about half an hour from home. I often go on walks alone with a podcast for company. I find walks to be wonderful for health, movement and a sense of freedom.
I try to go to the gym three times a week. I keep my routines short and simple, usually around 30-45 minutes. I focus on a few core exercises like squats, deadlifts and bench press.
I would like to add more cardio to my week, ideally two sessions where I push my V02 max. These are easier to think about than do.
For my mental health, I dip in and out of mediation. I tend to use Oak for this as it's simple, free and doesn't get you into any challenges or streaks that inevitably end at some point. I also consider writing morning pages as an act of meditation, but also struggle to stay regular with this.
I'm also experimenting with getting outdoors first thing in the morning, but where I live doesn't lend itself to regular sunshine.
I'm a firm believer that doing something consistently for life is far better than burning out chasing a personal best. My aim is to still be lifting weights, meditating and moving well in 2100.
